Chapter 5 - Specialized Knowledge

This is a direct quote form a "lesson" posted by my good friend Tuula Rands in our 30 Day Mental Cleanse forum :

Chapter 5 - Specialized Knowledge

There is a story in the Bible about a man called Naaman.
He was the commander of an army, a great and honorable
man in the sight of his master.  He was a mighty man of
valour but he was a leper.

One of the maids told her Mistress about a Prophet
who could heal Naaman of his leprosy.

So Naaman goes to see Elisha and instead of Elisha
going out to meet Naaman, Elisha sends a messenger to
tell Naaman  “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and
your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean.”

Naaman was angry because Elisha did not come out himself
but sent a messenger and because Elisha did not perform
some kind of ritual.   He was expecting to be treated like
someone important .  Naaman was not happy about how he
was supposed to be healed by washing seven times in the Jordon
as he thought there were better waters he could be healed in.  

But his servant asked him  "If the prophet had told you to do
something great, would you not have done it?  How much more then,
when he says to you, 'Wash, and be clean?"

Naaman  eventually did  listen to the servant and went into the
Jordon and washed seven times as he was instructed and he was
cleansed of his leprosy.

Now, that is an interesting story and what does it have to do
with this chapter on Specialized knowledge?

Statistics say 97% of people who begin a Network Marketing business fail.

When people download the e-book “Success in 10 Steps” they are
looking for help because they are failing in their business.  They
are looking for solutions on how to advertise, how to connect with
people, how to sell their  product and  many other factors.  But the
main reason they request the e-book is they need help.

They are excited to read the e-book and they can relate to the
things in the e-book.  They then go through the process of
getting more information and eventually they get a coaching
call with a Network Marketing Millionaire who is willing to give
his time for free to help them understand what they need to do
in order to succeed in what they are doing or realize that what they
are doing is either illegal or what they are putting their effort in will
never bring them the results they are expecting.

He gives them a blueprint of what their next step should be.  
A good percentage of the people stop there.  They do not follow
the blueprint and never take the steps necessary to
get the training they were looking for in the first place.

Mentoring for Free  -- Sounds too simple.

Thirty day mental cleanse? -- I read "Think and Grow Rich" years ago and it didn't help me.

Self talk? -- What is talking to myself going to accomplish?

Get on all the training calls?  --I don’t have time to do that, I need
to build my business.

Wash in the Jordon? -- There are better waters to wash in.

Seven times! -- That takes too long.

The ones that do listen to the instructions and eventually
wash in the Jordon, grow and become Professional Network Marketers.

We need to ask ourselves as the servant said to Naaman,
"If the prophet had told you to do something great, would
you not have done it? How much more then, when he says
to you, 'Wash, and be clean?"
