What Are You Feeding Your Mind?

We learn from Napoleon Hill in Think And Grow Rich that "Thoughts are things and powerful things at that".
So what are you feeding your mind?  What do you watch on TV?  What books, magazines, news papers are you reading?  What video games do you play.  What company do you keep?

Your brain is constantly absorbing and echoing whatever you feed it through your senses.  Your thoughts echo what you hear and see.  If you subject your brain to a lot of negativity and violence, you will be echoing this negativity and violence.  Just like the criminal who starts off being ashamed of the crimes he is commiting and gradually becomes desentisized to the crimes, you will become "imune" to violence if you watch too many horror movies and/or play too many violent video games.

Have you ever heard someone say that "You speak your reality into existence."?  What do they mean by that?  It simply means that you will get what you think and speak about the most.  If you are constantly talking about the bad things happening to you, you will recieve more bad things.  You are in control, think about the wonderful experiences you've had and you will recieve more of them.

Here is a quote from Raymond Holliwell's Working With The Law "The mind is a magnet and attracts whatever corresponds to
its ruling state.  Whatever we image in mind, whatever we expect and think about, will tend to bring into our lives the
things and conditions that are in harmony therewith. Science has convincingly proven the existence and constant operation
of the Law of mental attraction. For this reason everyone should be doubly careful about how and what he thinks. Our
predominant mental attitude is the primary cause of most everything that comes into our lives, and the sooner we realize
this truth, the sooner we shall begin to improve our lives and progress."

Statistics reveal that the the average american watches and average og four hours of television every day.  That is 28 hours per week, 1,456 hours per year.  At that rate the average american will spend 13 years of his/her life in front of the TV.  That is 13 years of your life away from your family.  Lets face it, even if you are watching with your family, you are not really with them.

Whats even worse is that this is 13 years of your life where you are letting other people control what you are feeding your mind.  Is that what we really want.  Remember that we have the ability to control what enters our mind.  Also that most of what is on TV is often negative and includes wanton violence.

So why are we allowing the media to control our thoughts?   I believe that for too many people, they allow the "noise" to override their own thoughts.  They are afraid of the their own thoughts.  So watching TV is a way to drown their thoughts just like the alcoholic or the drug adict trying to "drown" his/her sorrows.  We all know that trying to "drown" our sorrows does not work.  We may be oblivious to them but they are still there and will resurface sooner or later.

The main problem that I see with the media in general is that it is telling us WHAT to think.  We need to learn HOW to think by becoming critical thinkers and form our own opinion.  And relax folks, you would be surprised how wonderful the inner silence is.  Once you get to know the real you, you live in peace and don't need that annoying noise to drown your thoughts.

The best way to learn HOW to think and to control what you feed your mind is to join our 30 Mental Cleanse program.  It is totally free, all we ask for is a few hours of your time each week.  Just go to http://30daycleanse.com/ and join us.  What have you got to lose?  Only your negativity.  You will gain control of your thoughts and your life.  No string attached and you progress at your own pace.  Oh, yes, we do ask you to give up TV, news papers, magazines, etc for 30 days.  If that is too much for you then I wish you luck with the rest of your life.  If you really want to own your life and learn how to feed your mind with positive thoughts, join us.  We accept anyone who is willing to improve their lot in life.
