All That Trivia is Only Good On Jeopardy!

This is a direct quote from a "lesson" that my good friend Tuula Rands posted in our Think And Grow Rich Lessons forum :

Chapter 5 - Specialized Knowledge (Think And Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill)

Hill points out to us that many people mistakenly believe
“knowledge is power.”  How is knowledge power?  How does
knowledge provide us with power?  The only power we have
when we have knowledge is the imagined power it gives us in our mind
thinking we have power because we have knowledge about some
things.

If we don’t do anything with the knowledge we acquire the
power of that knowledge is lost.  It is information in our head
just sitting there  serving no purpose other than making us
Think we are “smart.”

But if we use that knowledge in bettering any area of our lives we
then make that knowledge powerful.

I can read all kinds of books about gardening, for instance, and have
Ideas on what I want to plant, how I want to plant,  which
plants I want to put where, but if I never take thet steps to actually
get the seeds and begin to put them into the ground, that knowledge
I acquired is of no real benefit to me.  It is just information.

As Hill tells us “Knowledge is only potential power. It becomes power
only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action, and directed to a definite end.”

We gain a lot of knowledge by participating in the Mentoring for Free System.

Do we make use of this knowledge and direct it to a definite end or is it just
information filled in our mind with no useful purpose?
